In 2017, we acquired ~1,000 hectares of land in Iseyin, Oyo State, South-Western Nigeria and concluded an extensive soil survey across the farmland in partnership with IITA.

Following a successful cassava pilot project in 2018-19, we have recently completed evaluating other crops and livestock options, with follow-up operations scheduled to start in Q2 2021.

The project is an integrated crop and livestock farm with processing facilities to cater to CARMI’s produce and produce from immediate and adjacent communities’ which currently goes to waste. The processed products are earmarked for local (Tier 1 and Tier 2 industries) and export markets.
